Evan Kangwa aitwa Zambia

Mshambuliaji wa Nkana Evans Kangwa ameitwa katika kikosi cha timu ya taifa ya Zambia Chipolopolo katika maandalizi ya kufuzu 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) raundi ya kwanza dhidi (The Zebras)’of Botswana.

The Nkana striker ni mmoja kati ya wachezaji wawili wapya walioitwa na kocha mkuu wa Zambia Herve Renard has named to his 2013 Cosafa Cup winning team ahead of Saturday’s CHAN first round away leg game against Botswana to be played in Molepolole.

Kangwa returns to the fold for the first time since December 21, 2012 when he came on as a substitute in Zambia’s 1-0 away friendly loss to Tanzania. He also makes the team despite not playing any competitive action this year after he was hold-up in Spain on trials for the last six months.

Kangwa’s call-up swells Nkana’s contingent in the Zambia team to four joining striker Festus Mbewe plus defenders Masauso Zimba and Christopher Munthali. Also getting a recall is Zanaco defender Salulani Phiri who joins club mates Fackson Kapumbu and striker Moses Phiri.

Meanwhile, Zambia enters camp on July 22 in Lusaka to begin preparations for their CHAN qualifier this Saturday prior to departure for Gaborone on July 25.

The two sides will face each other in the return leg on August 3 with the winner advancing to the final second round qualifier to play either Zimbabwe or Mauritius for a place in next January’s CHAN finals in South Africa.
